Safety, Relief, and Japanese Culture Program

The Department of Chemical Engineering is currently looking for ChE students who are interested in travelling to Japan for the “Safety and Relief and Japanese Culture” Program of the Asian Cooperative Program Consortium which is led by the Kansai University of International Studies.

The program will feature on Japanese culture, disaster management lectures, as well as several fieldworks on selected sites. Selected participants will also get a chance to visit famous tourist spots in Japan and a possible transfer of credits. The program fee is at JPY 100,000 excluding the airfare of the student.

Interested students may apply to this program by submitting the requirements listed below by January 15, 2016. Successful applicants can also apply for a scholarship amounting to JPY 80,000. The following are the required documents for application:

  • Resume with picture
  • True Copy of Grades with GWA Certification
  • Essay on how the program can help the student’s academic advancement
