Two visiting professors are expected in DChE during the first quarter of 2016. Both will give lectures in ChE 298/EgyE 298 (Potential and Challenges of Thermochemical and Biological Conversion of Biomass to Biofuels and Other Compounds) that will be offered during the Second Semester 2015-2016:
Dr. Anthony Halog, from the School of Geography, Planning and Environmental Management, University of Queensland. His expertise are in the fields of Industrial Ecology, Green Chemistry, Sustainability Science and Engineering, and Circular/Green Economy. He will be hosted by Dr. Florencio C. Ballesteros, Jr. and will be giving two lectures on Life Cycle Analysis in the ChE 298/EgyE 298 course to be offered by Dr. Rizalinda de Leon. His arrives January 16, 2016 and will be in the country for 1 month.
Dr. Luc Fillaudeau from the Laboratory of Biosystem and Process Engineering, Institut Nacional des Sciences Appliquees (INSA), Toulouse. His expertise is in irreducible couplings between heat, mass and momentum transport in complex and evolving biosystems. He will be hosted by Dr. Rizalinda de Leon and will also be giving lectures in the ChE 298/EgyE 298 course mentioned above. Visit Dates is March 6 to 20, 2016.
