ABOUT OUR RESEARCH GROUP

Life is the essence of being and its integration with engineering, numerical analysis, and process development enhances our understanding of the biological process thus harnessing its full potential. Addressing the call of the future, bioprocessing is the future of the chemical process industry, a field where Philippines trails far behind.
Inspired by nature, inorganic-organic hybrid materials and processes are developed for industrial, medical and other applications. One approach uses biomineralizations where various crystal growth modifiers are investigated and identify potential applications in industrial crystallization. Fermentation is a process developed through traditions and bestowed practices; through process intensification and genetic engineering, high value products are commercially produced.
