Dr. Maria Lourdes Dalida and Prof. Patrick Ramoso of the Catalyst Research Laboratory, and Dr. Terence Tumolva of the Green Materials Laboratory presented their research in the recently concluded International Congress on Chemical, Biological and Environmental Sciences (ICCBES) last May 8, 2015 in Kyoto, Japan.
Dr. Dalida presented her paper entitled Design and Performance of an Immobilized Photocatalytic Reactor for Water Treatment, a research conducted by her undergraduate advisees Angella Rainbow Lim, Karmina Grace Bautista and Riuji Sato.
Prof. Ramoso presented his paper entitled Design and Optimization of an Air-Sparged TiO2-Immobilized Tubular Photocatalytic Reactor for the Degradation of Methylene Blue, a part of his master’s thesis.
Dr. Tumolva presented his paper entitled Mathematical Modeling and Simulation of Microencapsulated N-Octadecane in Urea-Melamine-Formaldehyde Shell for Latent Heat Storage, a research conducted by his undergraduate advisees Jules Hedwig Dayrit and Ralph Patrick Erice. Their conference presentation was funded by the Faculty Research Dissemination Grant of the Engineering Research and Development for Technology (ERDT) Program of the Department of Science and Technology.
