The Department of Chemical Engineering is committed to maintaining a safe learning and research environment. All students, faculty, and staff working with chemicals are required to follow established protocols and undergo proper training.

For proper handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals, refer to the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS). 

Always consult the safety data sheets database before working with any chemical to understand potential hazards and recommended precautions.

Before accessing any lab, make sure to complete the LUOSS exam and submit the necessary lab forms.

Know what to do in case of spills, fire, or exposure.
