Overview

The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Chemical Engineering was instituted in 1996 with the goal of making an original contribution to fundamental knowledge in the field of chemical engineering. The first batches of students in the doctoral program were faculty members from different public and private universities. Most of them were sent abroad to conduct their dissertation research. The Doctor of Engineering (DEng) in Chemical Engineering is also offered with the goal of developing a solution to an engineering problem of substance in a creative and distinguished manner. It differs from the PhD program only in the purpose of the dissertation.
